Keeping with this commitment to cosmetic facial surgery education, Dr. Niamtu has spent the past year producing high definition DVD instructional videos.  These DVD's are intended for students of cosmetic facial surgery and also serve as a review for experienced cosmetic surgeons.  Dr. Niamtu has documented this contemporary surgical techniques for the most common cosmetic facial surgery techniques.

Dr. Niamtu has completed the writing of his awaited comprehensive textbook on cosmetic facial surgery for the Elsevier/Mosby company, the leader in medical texts. This book will be in an atlas format with detailed, step by step, photos for all common cosmetic facial procedures with over 3,300 color images. In addition, a DVD will accompany the textbook with actual intraoperative real time surgical movies. The textbook will be available on this site as soon as the printing is complete which will be summer 2010.

Dr. Niamtu achieves Diamond Status with Allergan

Users of Botox and Juvederm are classified as silver, gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus and Diamond.  There are only several hundred Diamond class Botox providers in the country and Dr. Niamtu is now officially one of them.  This classicistic is only awarded to the largest users of Botox.  Many practices have multiple doctors or nurses as injectors, but Dr. Niamtu is the only solo Diamond level provider in the state of Virginia underlining his experience and expertise with Botox and fillers.

Our Cosmetic Course

Dr. Niamtu continues to teach cosmetic surgery to doctors from multiple specialties. Four courses (two basic and two advanced) are offered to doctors from dermatology, ophthalmology, ENT, facial plastic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, Ob/Gyn, family practice and others. The live demonstration courses are held at Dr. Niamtu's fully accredited surgery center and the lecture portions are held at the host hotels.

Newer Fillers

We have owned the Iridex 532 diode laser for a decade and it is our favorite laser for spider veins. We recently acquired the brand new Iridex Varilite vascular laser.This laser has the latest features for safe and effective treatment of spider veins, brown spots and certain birthmarks. This laser the 532 wavelength and the new 940 wavelength for deeper and more resistant vessels.
