CO2 Lite Laser Resurfacing

The “CO2 Lite” is a new concept in laser resurfacing only available on the Lumenis Encore Laser. This treatment is specifically for patients that cannot take off extended time for recovery. This treatment is similar to a medium depth chemical peel. It is an excellent treatment for facial pigmentation, age spots, liver spots, sun spots, freckles and some pre malignant skin lesions. It also is effective for fine lines and wrinkles. It is not the treatment of choice for deep wrinkles, but is an excellent alternative to deep laser resurfacing. The procedure is performed in the office surgery center with light IV sedation. The procedure takes about 30 minutes and the face is pink for about 6-7 days. The old skin peels off and patients are usually able to wear makeup and return to work in one week.

The black and white images are taken with a special digital photography system developed by Dr. Niamtu to show the invisible deep skin pigment.
