Botox and Fillers for Men

Injectable treatments are the most popular cosmetic surgery treatments. Botox and injectable fillers are small procedures than can make a big difference. These procedures have no recovery and are considered “lunch time” treatments.

Injectable Wrinkle Fillers

Wrinkle fillers consist of a carbohydrate gel that is injected in folds or wrinkles to improve the appearance or in the cheeks or other areas to restore youthful volume. The area is numbed with local anesthesia and the filler injected with a fine needle. The results are immediate and usually last 6-24 months, depending on the type of filler used. In some cases Dr. Niamtu can use a permanent filler. Recovery is minimal and this is a frequent “lunch time” procedure.  Transient bruising or swelling can occur.

Botox and Related Treatments

Neuromodulators include Botox, Dysport and Xeomin. These medications are injected into the frown muscles with an ultra-fine needle for a painless treatment. The effect usually begins at about 3 days and lasts about 3 months. The most commonly treated areas are:

  • Frown lines
  • Horizontal forehead lines
  • Crow’s feet wrinkles

These injections are also used on other areas of the face and neck. Please see Botox Gallery to view many more before and after pictures.
