Cosmetic Facial Surgery

There is global anti-aging revolution in our society and it is making cosmetic surgery more popular than any other time in history. Baby-Boomers are turning 60 at the rate of 11,000 per day! People are living longer today and they want to look as young as they feel. Living in a health conscious society, many people incorporate diet and exercise into their daily routines, but you can't exercise away wrinkles! The mirror eventually reflects the effects of aging, no matter how youthful we feel inside. Many people seek cosmetic facial surgery to look and feel better and to remain confident and competitive in the work place and in social situations.

"It is not your mother's facelift". A generation ago, cosmetic surgery was a big deal. It was a well kept secret generally obtainable by wealthy individuals. Patients were usually hospitalized for several days and endured procedures that were very expensive and took months to heal. Today cosmetic facial surgery is much simpler. People are having cosmetic surgery at a younger age. The average age for a facelift has dropped from the sixth decade to the forth decade. Twenty years ago the hospital stay for a facelift was four days! Today, our facelift patients can be treated in our Accredited Surgery Center and return home that afternoon. Most cosmetic procedures no longer require general anesthesia and can be performed with IV sedation. Newer techniques have made anesthesia simpler, safer and present fewer complications. Some patients may require outpatient hospital usage or same day surgery which we can also accommodate.

How Do I Find all the Before & After Pictures?

Each page that contains before and after picture galleries has a floating icon of Mona Lisa on the right side of the page.  Clicking on the Mona Lisa icon will bring up the various galleries.

The galleries have numerous pages which can be viewed by clicking on the page numbers at the bottom or each gallery (shown in the red circle).

You can tell a lot about a surgeon's experience by the amount and quality of their before and after pictures.  A surgeon with 5-10 facelift (and or other procedures) is probably much less experienced than a surgeon with thousands of before and after pictures.  With almost 7,000 before and after images on our site, Dr. Niamtu exhibits the level of experience that most patients are looking for in a cosmetic surgeon.
