Vimeo has abruptly stopped supporting their Video on Demand pages and is switching without choice to a different platform called Vimeo OOT. This abrupt and unexpected shift has left many sellers and purchasers scrambling for a solution with very little time to adjust
In the meantime previous purchasers have access to the current Video On Demand platform and downloads will cease per vimeo on August 22, 2026. Until that time, downloads will be available and after that date, all videos will be streaming only without the ability to download.
another problem is that vimeo will not supply us with the list of purchasers. Unless they change this policy, we will need proof of purchase to move Existing customers to the new platform in the form of the email from vimeo showing your previous purchases or similar information from Paypal.
Each time a customer purchased a video, they received an email from vimeo giving them the code for to access videos. Customers should search their deleted items (assuming this info was deleted) and search for “vimeo” to locate these purchase codes, or search their paypal purchases. Proof of purchase will constitute a copy of email receipt from vimeo or paypal proof of purpose. When received, we will migrate customers to the new vimeo platform.
We are begging vimeo for a list of customers and proof of purchase and hopefully that will happen. Please understand we are very serious about providing the products to those whom have purchased them.
At this time vimeo will only support the Volume 3 videos added after 2021. We are very sorry for this abrupt transition and are not happy with these new changes from vimeo and have no control. We cannot be responsible for changes that vimeo does and this was the first incidence of such in two decades of using the vimeo platform. Can’t remember your passcode to view or download videos?
When you purchased your video, you received a code from Vimeo. Search you deleted mail items for Vimeo and you will likely find your code. You can also search your Paypal purchases and provide us with this info. For previous purchases of Version 3, proof of purchase is required to move to the new Vimeo platform to view your videos. All videos will be streaming on any compatible device. Downloading is not possible with this new platform.
