An Honor Bestowed
Over the last three decades I have done hundreds of pro bono cases on patients that needed help but could not afford a surgical procedure. Their gratitude and “giving back” is the only payment I needed.
Recently I treated a patient named Marie Carey and assisted her with a significant problem. Marie is not a pro bono patient. She is a global activist and expressed her thanks for our treatment by honoring me and my staff by donating a water well to an under developed poor village in the Philippines. Marie personally donated $1,800 in my name as a living tribute to drill and install the well. This will bring clean and safe drinking water to all the children and adults in that village. Operation Blessing (operationblessing.org) helps under developed villages all around the world by supplying clean, safe water. Most of us take clean water for granted but millions of people around the globe get sick or die from the lack of clean water.
This particular well will service 30 families (142 individuals) in this remote village. Thank you Marie for the honor of this living tribute. You are a wonderful person to help people in need.
We are lucky to have such great and compassionate patients.
