Dr. Joe Niamtu, III and Staff Featured on The Lifetime Channel this Tuesday, Feb. 6 at 10 PM (9 PM Central)
We are so honored to be featured on an new makeover show on national TV called “This Time Next Year”.
We are not allowed to release any further info until the show airs on Tuesday, but John is the first person in the trailer below.
The show will air Tuesday, February 6 at 10 PM EST (9 PM Central) and the local channels for The Lifetime Channel are:

This show follows various people with physical deformities, challenges and aspirations throughout their year long journey to improve their life. They are showcasing one of our favorite patients ever, Mr. John Mathews.
John is a Maryland professional who contacted Dr. Niamtu last year to have his protruding ears corrected to ease decades of bullying and lowered self-esteem. The Lifetime Channel reached out to Dr. Niamtu for a special surgery and flew John to California to chronicle his experiences growing up with this condition. It is very emotional to hear John talk about the bullying he has endured. It is truly my honor and that of my staff to have changed John’s life.
It was our pleasure to perform John’s surgery and help him improve his life. I have the greatest job in the world. I get to do what I love and help others look and feel better about themselves.
