Versa Wrinkle Filler Injected with Cannula
Injectable fillers are one of the most requested non-surgical cosmetic surgery treatments worldwide. Although many countries have over 150 choices of fillers, the USA has the very stringent FDA and we hold safety over product numbers. This means that there are only a handful of FDA approved lip and wrinkle fillers. Versa is a newly introduced wrinkle and fold filler that is made from hyaluronic acid similar to Juvederm, Restylane, Belotero and other common FDA approved fillers.
Although most doctors use needles to inject filler, blunt, flexible cannulas are becoming more popular for numerous reasons. Dr. Niamtu actually published the first article in the scientific literature on using cannulas for filler injection in 2009. One advantage is the fact that the entire procedure can be done with a single needle stick instead of multiple injections. This frequently translates into less pain, trauma and bruising.
