50 Year Anniversary of the Moon Landing
I have met a lot of celebrities in my life but probably the most notable was the late Neil Armstrong, Apollo astronaut, and first man to work on the lunar surface. He was truly humble and quiet but just being around him had an aura of energy. He was extremely polite and you wonder “what the hell do I say to the first many who walked on the moon”? I think he was pretty used to people not knowing what to say, so he would lead a conversation.
As we look back 50 years ago, it all seems so jerky and primitive but it was amazing. I am sure people felt the same way about Christopher Columbus or other explorers who risked life and limb to further the reach of mankind.
Hard to believe it has been a half of a century, most of us remember where we were that night.
