April Niamtu Receives Record Donation for Christmas Mother Program

I have rarely seen my wife as excited as she was when our dear friends Donna Dean Stevens and Jayson Stevens made a $50,000 donation to the Richmond Times Dispatch Christmas Mother Program. This unexpected gift is the largest in the 85 year history of the Christmas Mother Program and will ensure that many children and families will have a Christmas this year. Donna and her late husband Jimmy were great friends for decades and we miss the one and only Jimmy. We love Jay and admire the generosity of the Stevens to improve our community through the Jimmy Dean Foundation. You guys are soooooooo special! My wife is taking her Richmond Christmas Mother position quite seriously as evidenced by the 20 Christmas trees that have appeared in our home during the month of August! It’s going to be scary by December……………………
