Today’s Great Little Case: Upper and Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty
As we age, we develop extra skin, wrinkles and fat around our eyelids. This aging can obstruct vision and makes people look older and tired. I perform my blepharoplasties with laser technology which basically eliminates bleeding. This makes the procedure faster, easier with shorter recovery and less discomfort and bruising. The procedure takes less than an hour and the average patient has about a one week recovery after blepharoplasty. The male patient below underwent laser assisted upper blepharoplasty and transconjunctival lower blepharoplasty. The lower lid procedure is performed from the inside of the lower lid so there is no visible scar. The lower lid skin wrinkling was improved with laser skin resurfacing. I have performed blepharoplasty on over 6,000 eyelids and it is one of my favorite procedures.
Looking upwards accentuates the lower lid fat bags. The top picture is before and the bottom picture is after.
