Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery in Younger Patients.
Cosmetic blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) is generally performed on patients in their forth decade and older. Occasionally, younger patients may have genetic predisposition to skin and or fat excess. This patient is a 33 year old female with genetic skin excess resulting in heaviness of her up upper lids. In this situation, the skin excess lies on the lashes causing the patient to look older and making it difficult to apply eye makeup. I performed laser upper blepharoplasty which took about 30 minutes and made an immense difference in her appearance and self confidence. This simple procedure certainly opened up the true beauty of her upper lids.
Lower eyelid fat protrusion (fat bags) can also be seen in younger patients due to heredity. This 28 year old female patient had a 30 minute laser lower eyelid blepharoplasty with an invisible incision placed inside the lower eyelid making her look less tired and more refreshed.
Cosmetic blepharoplasty is one of my favorite procedures and I have performed over 6,000 eyelid blepharoplasties. Using laser technology makes the procedure shorter with less bleeding. This translates into less pain and bruising with faster healing. For hundreds of additional before and after pictures and more information about cosmetic eyelid surgery, visit www.lovethatface.com
