Dr. Niamtu named to Editorial Board of “Cutis” Journal of Cutaneous Medicine.
Published since 1965, Cutis is a peer-reviewed clinical journal for the dermatologist, allergist, and general practitioner. The journal is published monthly and focuses on concise clinical articles that present the practical side of dermatology. Referenced in Index Medicus/MEDLINE, it is respected and enjoyed by both specialists and derm-active generalists, enabling its readers to get what they need quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, Cutis is read by more physicians actively involved in the day-to-day treatment of dermatologic conditions than any other dermatology publication. Covering a broad range of pertinent and timely topics, Cutis is written and edited by industry leaders.
It is a distinct honor to be named to an editorial board of a major journal with other distinguished dermatologists and surgeons. The editorial board is responsible for reviewing content of submitted scientific articles for a fair and balanced peer review process to ensure evidence based articles on research and case presentation and weed out or suggest improvements for journal submissions that may be acceptable for presentation.
Dr. Niamtu also sits on the editorial board for the following journals and periodicals.
- Cosmetic Dermatology
- Plastic Surgery Practice Magazine
- Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
- Cosmetic Surgery Times Magazine
- SURGE Magazine
- The European Journal of Aesthetic Medicine and Dermatology
- The Australian Journal of Cosmetic Surgery
- The Aesthetic Guide Magazine
It is a significant time expenditure serving on these editorial boards as there are always new articles to review and/or correct, I always learn from the many articles that I review. It is also a good feeling assisting younger doctors with less scientific article publishing experience.
I thank the editors of Cutis for the honor of being appointed to their editorial board.
