Improving Jowls without Facelift Surgery
As we age, our fat, muscle and skin begin to sag and what once were youthful cheeks now turn into jowls. Jowls are those pesky droopy swellings along the side of the chin. They are one of the main aging changes and frequently occur at the same time as sagging neck skin.
The only way to correct jowls for a natural and long lasting look is facelift surgery, however some people don’t quite need surgery or don’t want it for various reasons. For mild to moderate jowling, injectable fillers can improve the situation.
The jowls represent swellings on each side of the chin. By putting filler in the depression between the chin and jowl, the jawline can be smoothed and recontoured no a more youthful appearance. This will not be effective for severe jowling, but is a popular treatment for early jowl treatment.
